Obituary For ARUSYAK HAKOBYAN

  • Dear family and friends,

    Arusyak Hakobyan, age 87, passed away on February 2 in Fresno, California.

  • She was born on June 25, 1938, in Yerevan, Armenia, to Katia and Harutiun Hakobyan, who were survivors of the Armenian Genocide organized by the Turkish government in 1915. Arusyak spent most of her life in Armenia before moving to Fresno 21 years ago. She was a loving mother to two sons, Beniamin and Andranik, and one daughter, Armenuhi, and was predeceased by her husband, Kamo Hakobyan, 11 years ago.

  • Arusyak devoted her life to the service of others, working as both an elementary school teacher and a nurse. Her career reflected her deep compassion, patience, and commitment to helping others. Above all, she was a loving grandmother, mother, and sister who found her greatest joy in her family.

    She had a profound love for nature and found peace in her garden. Arusyak was known for her hospitality and kindness, always keeping her home and heart open to those in need. She was always ready to offer support and comfort to anyone facing a difficult time.

    Guided by her faith, she believed in the second coming of Jesus Christ and the promise of resurrection and eternal life. She found great fulfillment in sharing the message of salvation with others.

    Arusyak will be remembered for her warmth, selflessness, and quiet strength. Her legacy lives on in the many lives she touched through her unwavering care. She will be deeply missed and lovingly remembered by all who knew her.
