Obituary For MARIA OJEDA CUENCA

Maria Ojeda Cuenca, age 87, completed her earthly journey on July 16, 2025. Her humble and loving spirit, born on October 5, 1937, in the beautiful city of Estipac, Jalisco, Mexico, was a beacon of light that guided her family and all those lucky enough to cross her path. Maria's journey of love and generosity began in Mexico and continued in the United States, where she immigrated with her beloved husband, Jose Cuenca, to create a life of possibilities and dreams. A symbol of determination and resilience, Maria became a proud U.S. citizen and planted the seeds of a legacy that would flourish into a grand and beautiful family tree. Maria is survived by her loving children: Dolores Villanueva, Cecelio Cuenca, Maria Leobarda Orozco, Claudia Nuno, Veronica Jones, Josefina Garcia, and Anita Perkins. She also leaves behind a profound legacy carried forward by her 33 grandchildren, 71 great-grandchildren, and 27 great-great-grandchildren. Maria is now reunited in Heaven with her cherished husband Jose, five beloved children, her parents Maria Guadalupe Garcia and Pablo Ojeda Salcedo, three grandchildren, and one great-grandchild.

As my Nina's is not here physically just remember all of the fun and laughter we had when she would be hosting Thanksgiving dinner or Christmas at her home with Nino and staying over when they would work really hard to get gifts for all of their grandchildren and always will cook for us, just remember she loved everyone and loved when everyone was together as a family. I love you Nina give a huge hug and kiss to my Nino and my brother Johnny for me.
